About Me

Canadian by origin, I’ve spent my professional life in countries around the world. From teaching and counselling at international schools to launching a private therapy practice, my path has been woven from a rich tapestry of cultures, experiences, and human connections.

A natural curiosity about people and a desire for connection has guided me throughout my lifetime. Living and working in communities around the world has enriched my understanding of culture, strengthened my compassion for differences, and deepened my appreciation for each individual’s unique story.

Over time, these experiences have expanded my perspective and inform my work as a therapist allowing me to connect meaningfully with clients from a wide range of backgrounds.

My Approach

My therapeutic approach is compassionately grounded in a deep academic foundation and enriched by decades of international experience. I believe that therapy isn't about fixing what is broken, but about getting to know the different parts of who you are. My approach integrates evidence based approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Mindfulness Self-Compassion to help you move from a place of self-judgment to one of curiosity and inner alignment.

I believe in empowering my clients with the information they need to reach their goals. By their side, I support them to find the courage to dive deeper into how they navigate their lives and to find sustainable ways to face the inherent ongoing challenges of being human. Together, we work to find strategies that support personal growth and lead to deeper fulfilment and self-awareness.

"When I accept myself as I am, then I can change"

Working with Expatriates and Globally Minded Professionals

Having lived and worked in countries including Colombia, Germany, Indonesia, Poland, and Taiwan, I have a unique understanding of the expatriate and international experience. This global perspective led me to specialize in Internal Family Systems (IFS), helping clients bring the same curiosity and compassion they offer the outside world to their inner experiences.

If it has been challenging to find someone who gets what you are going through that you can freely share your feelings with, you are in the right place. I take a relational approach to therapy, which means that connection is at the heart of the work. The ways we have learned to relate to others are often shaped by earlier experiences and can influence how we feel about ourselves and how we move through the world. Together we will explore patterns, behaviours, thoughts and beliefs that might have us feeling stuck, sad, overwhelmed, angry or lost.

Within a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship, there is an opportunity to experience something different: to feel seen, understood, and to explore new ways of connecting with yourself and others. This is my driving force for each individual I have the honour to work beside.

"We don't heal in isolation; we heal in connection."
